RESPONSIBILITIES
Care for pets: As a personal care attendant, you will be responsible for assisting clients with the care of their pets. This could include feeding, walking, grooming, and providing companionship to the animals.

Administer bedside and personal care: You will provide assistance to clients with various aspects of personal care, including grooming, dressing, and toileting. This may involve helping clients in and out of bed, positioning them comfortably, and ensuring their personal hygiene needs are met.

Administer medications: You will be tasked with administering medications to clients according to prescribed schedules and dosages. This includes ensuring clients take their medications as prescribed and documenting administration accurately.

Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene: You will assist clients with bathing, showering, and grooming, ensuring they maintain good personal hygiene. This may involve helping clients with brushing their teeth, combing their hair, and other grooming tasks.

Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk: Encouraging and assisting clients with regular exercise is an important aspect of personal care. This may involve accompanying clients on walks or engaging in other physical activities to promote mobility and overall well-being.

Change non-sterile dressings: You will be required to change non-sterile dressings on wounds or injuries, following proper hygiene and safety protocols. This includes cleaning the affected area, applying new dressings, and monitoring for signs of infection or complications.

Feed or assist in feeding: You will assist clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed. This includes preparing nutritious meals according to dietary requirements, assisting clients with eating if necessary, and ensuring they receive adequate nutrition.

Launder clothing and household linens: You will be responsible for laundering clients’ clothing and household linens, ensuring they have clean and hygienic items to use. This includes washing, drying, folding, and storing laundry as needed.

Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties: Keeping the client’s living environment clean and organized is essential for their comfort and well-being. You will perform light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and tidying up common areas.

Provide personal care: In addition to physical care tasks, you will also provide emotional support and companionship to clients. This may involve engaging in conversation, listening to clients’ concerns, and providing encouragement and reassurance.

Shop for food and household supplies: You will be responsible for shopping for groceries and household supplies on behalf of clients, ensuring they have essential items stocked in their home.

Prepare and serve nutritious meals: You will plan and prepare nutritious meals for clients, taking into account their dietary preferences and any special dietary requirements. This includes serving meals at appropriate times and ensuring clients have access to healthy and balanced food options.
