ABOUT THE EMPLOYER
What is the opportunity? The Manager, CAE Group Delivery Excellence plays a major role in shaping department-wide strategic initiatives with the goal of optimizing the operating model and overall delivery, including process re-engineering and improving data quality, enabling technology adoption, end-to-end system implementation, and more.
This role will provide a wide lens into the RBC CAE (Chief Audit Executive) Group’s strategy and unique perspective of independent assurance and oversight over RBC’s risk management practices, governance processes and internal control systems.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Work with internal audit teams and operational groups to tackle process challenges and capture productivity opportunities by leading the design and execution of improved audit service delivery across groups (including Internal Audit, Client Compliants Office, SOX COE, Shared Services Centre) and regions globally (including Canada, U.S., APAC, Caribbean, and Europe)
• Assess current digital and human process inefficiencies and develop user-centric/data-centric solutions from creation through to deployment, integration, and training
• Main project responsibilities include conducting user interviews, developing business cases and assessing costs and effort, creating project roadmaps, keeping relevant stakeholders accountable and obtaining executive buy-in
• Support change management activities including testing, training, socialization and implementation of re-designed processes and new technology
• Work alongside all levels of stakeholders (including senior management teams, audit teams, data analysts, data engineers, etc.) to facilitate and adopt digital transformation
• Monitor latest business and technology trends within, and outside of, the Banking and Finance industry to increase understanding of complex business problems and solutions and leverage diverse perspectives
• Garner an understanding of the current and future regulatory, competitive and technological landscape, where there are potential impacts to the CAE Group
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must have:
• Great understanding of the audit lifecycle, audit processes, and risk and controls
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, ( Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint); Proficiency with Tableau and databases software knowledge are considered an asset
• Experience in facilitating and delivering strategic transformation Nice-to-have
• CPA/CA designation holder and/or MBA
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and project management skills
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
• Excellent external research skills to identify latest industry best practices and technologies
• Experience in Digital Transformation Lifecycles
