Your role is multifaceted: you’ll be the friendly face that greets our customers, guiding them through our range of products and services. Whether it’s helping them with printing, copying, packaging, or shipping needs, your expertise and assistance will be invaluable.

But it’s not just about transactions – it’s about building relationships. You’ll actively engage with customers to understand their needs, making personalized recommendations and upselling additional services when appropriate. You will also play a key role in keeping our store running smoothly. From processing orders accurately to maintaining a clean and organized workspace, attention to detail is essential.

JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a related field

RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate cash register: As a retail salesperson, you’ll be responsible for efficiently operating the cash register to process customer transactions accurately. This includes handling cash, credit card payments, and providing customers with receipts.

Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems: You’ll utilize computerized inventory systems to track stock levels, update inventory records, and place re-orders as needed to ensure adequate product availability for customers.

Provide advice about merchandise: Customers may seek your expertise and guidance on various products sold in the store. You’ll need to be knowledgeable about the merchandise, including features, benefits, and usage, in order to provide helpful advice and recommendations.

Assist in display of merchandise: You’ll play a role in maintaining an attractive and organized display of merchandise throughout the store. This may involve arranging products on shelves, setting up promotional displays, and ensuring signage is accurate and visually appealing.

Maintain sales records for inventory control: Keeping accurate sales records is crucial for inventory management. You’ll be responsible for recording sales transactions, monitoring inventory levels, and identifying any discrepancies or trends that may require attention.

Train staff: As an experienced retail salesperson, you may be involved in training new hires or providing ongoing guidance to existing staff members. This includes sharing product knowledge, demonstrating sales techniques, and reinforcing customer service standards.

Perform data entry: Data entry tasks may be necessary for various aspects of store operations, such as updating customer information, inputting sales data, or generating reports. Attention to detail is essential to ensure accuracy in data entry tasks.

Provide customer service: Customer service is a top priority in retail. You’ll interact with customers daily, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for every customer.

Advertise and/or promote products, sales, or services: In addition to assisting customers in-store, you may be involved in promoting special offers, sales events, or new product launches. This could include creating promotional displays, distributing flyers, or engaging customers through digital channels.
